Tess Jamias - Philippines

TESS JAMIAS (PHILIPPINES) is a theatre, film and video director, performer and choreographer. Her work has won several awards and fellowships including the 2006 Elizabeth J. McCormack and Jerome I. Aaron Fellow for the Asian Cultural Council. As a director of video and film she has been awarded Best Full-Length Feature Digital, Gawad CCP para sa Alternatibong Pelikula at Video Closing Film at the 2nd Experimento Film and Video Festival, Honorable Mention for Luha At Tuwa, Kabiguan At Pangarap and First Place in the Experimental Documentary Category, First UP Film and Video Competition for her Statements Made by a Housewife. Some of her most recent theatrical directing credits include Sacred Insides, A Walk Back in Time and R.A.W. (Raunchy Asian Women) all with Tanghlang Philipino. Her work as an actress has been recognized with two nominations for Best Performance by an Actress at the ALIW Awards.
