PIA FURTADO (ENGLAND) is a director based in London whose credits include GBS by Jason Hall (The King’s Head), All My Sons (Bloomsbury Theatre) and the European Premiere of Jason Robert Brown’s Parade (Southside, Edinburgh Festival) which won the 3 Weeks Critics Choice and Best Musical Award. Pia has assisted and staff directed at numerous venues across London including The Finborough, The Royal Court Theatre, The Young Vic, The Royal Ballet (Seven Deadly Sins with Martha Wainwright) and most recently worked with Sir Jonathan Miller on his revival of Cosi Fan Tutte at the Royal Opera House. Pia regularly directs readings, workshops and education projects for a number of producing houses and theatre companies around London. She is currently in the throws of founding a London based artists’ collective and production company. For The Internationalists, Pia has directed a reading of The Complete Truth About the Life and Death of Kurt Cobain (Romania) by Peca Stefan at TACT Studio in New York.
