The Blind Trip

More than 30 actors performing for one (blindfolded) audience member. Don’t miss this trip! Dare to take a journey into the world of senses, take a chance to rediscover the familiar things from a new, foreign perspective!

directed by Ana Mărgineanu (Romania)

The Blind Trip is focusing on the exploring of senses, by denying the one most associated with theatre : the sense of seeing. The performance will take place in 5 site-specific locations around LPAC, and will be available for one audience member at a time to experience. All the audience members (split in hourly slots) will be welcomed in the lounge, where they will watch some short movies from all around the world, created specially for this performance, with blindfolded people in different cities in different situations. One by one they will be blindfolded and invited by the guide in their own journey. They will go in each room, and in each room it will be a show they could not see, but they could feel and experience. The audience member is allowed to take of his blindfold in a single room, at his / her choice, but in that moment the trip is over. For example if he chose the second room, he will miss completely the other next three rooms. Each room will have a performance based on a different theme, and offering a different experience, all will be very tempting to see, but for different reasons.
